District Announcements
Wayne Hills Student Culinary Competition
Congratulations to all of our Wayne Hills future chefs for another strong performance in the annual Wayne Hills Student Culinary Competition.  A special thanks to Sodexo Food Services for their sponsorship of the event.

The students were thrilled and appreciated the opportunity to express their creativity through their marketing and culinary ideas. In addition to showcasing our students, the competition “served” another great purpose.  The Wayne Hills Student Culinary Competition raised $2,660.75 for the Wayne Hills Consumer Science scholarship. We had over 350 people attending to see and taste the student creations, then vote for their favorite.  Please click here for more information.
Straight Talk for Parents about Children's Social Media Use
On Tuesday, April 25, 2017 @ 7:00 p.m., please join us for a presentation to be delivered by an officer from the Passaic County Sheriff's office, followed by a panel discussion with some of our Wayne parents, principals, the Director of Technology, and the District Anti-Bullying Coordinator.  This presentation will be held at Anthony Wayne Middle School.  For more details, click here and register through the link on the flyer.

Re-Registration for all Students in Grades 5, 8 and 10
In order to ensure that all students attending the Wayne Township Public Schools are residents of Wayne, we will once again be requiring the re-registration of students at certain grade levels.  Parents of students at three grade levels (fifth grade going into sixth grade, eighth grade going into ninth grade and tenth grade going into eleventh grade) will be required to re-register their children in the coming months at their child’s current school.

For example, if you have a child currently in eighth grade at George Washington Middle School, you should report to George Washington Middle School to re-register your child. This process has been streamlined, and it is not a full re-registration, but rather a document review that should take approximately five minutes.

The re-registration will start at the beginning of April.  All registration documents must be provided to your child’s school by the last day of school in June. Parents of currently enrolled students in grades five, eight and ten will be receiving a letter from your child’s school in the coming weeks with information about how to re-register your student.
Wayne Day 2017

PARCC Testing Schedule 2017

Middle School PARCC Schedule 2017

This year do a great influx of technology we have been able to minimize the total days of impact due to PARCC from eighteen to ten.  Each grade will be testing a total of five days, testing Language Arts then Math.  To shorten the number of impacted days two changes were made.  First, on some days students will be testing in both the morning and afternoon.  Second, 6th and 8th grade will be testing at the same time.  (For further details about scheduling see below.)  In addition this year, due to being selected by the state for field test participation, each student will take one additional section of ELA.  There will be no testing on April 27th for Take Your Child To Work Day.
